Hybrid Power Generators

A hybrid generator is a combination of renewable energy sources and traditional internal combustion engine generator sets. These systems ensure operational continuity for critical facilities such as hospitals, data centers, or public institutions.

The Hybrid Power Generators are a complete electrical power supply solution that can be easily configured to meet a broad range of power needs. Hybrid Power Generator, a renewable and efficient energy solution that is supported by TUBITAK, is the first system of its kind in Turkey and is preferred mostly in telecommunications, agriculture, and heavy construction projects.


Generally, hybrid generators are composed of:

  • a generator set (diesel or gas)
  • a photovoltaic generation system (solar panels)
  • energy storage systems (batteries)
  • wind or hydroelectric turbines, and
  • in some cases, a commercial grid (when available).

These systems have all the advantages of using clean or renewable energies (solar, wind, etc.) that protect the environment and have a low production cost. Photovoltaic (solar) panels or wind turbines supply the main power to the system, along with the commercial grid, if available. Batteries will store the surplus renewable energy produced and will be responsible for supplying that energy to the site when the renewable source is not available. Additionally, in the event of insufficient renewable energy (e.g., cloudy days or nighttime for solar power or lack of wind for wind power), the Genset, as a reliable backup power source, will come online and supply the power needed to maintain operational continuity of the site and to charge the batteries.
